At Tines, we have always been about community and fostering a culture where our customers can learn and be inspired by one another. We introduced the story library last year and it fostered a wealth of new ways to apply Tines in both the business and a fun sense.
That’s why we’re back with our ‘You did WHAT?! with Tines’ competition. The only competition where we laud our customers' complex, simple, weird, and wonderful Tines workflows and bring them to our community.
Best of all, each individual submitting a story gets a prize.
The competition
The objective is to demonstrate the flexibility and power of Tines by challenging our customers to build or share an existing story that they find truly interesting.
It doesn’t matter if the story is from a real production workflow in your organization or something you wanted to have fun with yourself; we want to see it. For the next three weeks, send us your Tines stories and be in with a chance to win prizes.
The competition starts May 9th, 2023, and final submissions will be accepted on June 2nd, 2023. And, winners will be announced by June 20th, 2023.
The prizes
We’re a bunch of softies over here at Tines so every submitter gets a prize. We’ve tiered the prizes into three buckets: participation, category winner, and grand prize winner.
Participation: all participants receive a piece of limited edition Tines swag
Category winners: one winner from each category will be invited to a meet and greet with one of our co-founders either in person or virtually, plus special edition swag
Grand prize winner: one lucky winner will receive entry to attend a conference with Tines later this year to hang out with the Tines team, plus special edition swag
Now, let’s take a look at the categories for this year’s YDWWT categories.
The categories
For this year's competition, we've broken things down into five categories:
#1 Build apps
Share your stories that introduce interactions from anyone into your workflow.
#2 Tiny Tines
These stories are small but impactful, with only 10 actions or less.
#3 Security
These stories are the backbone of Tines use cases. Think phishing attack response, vulnerability management, or suspicious login alerts.
#4 Just for fun
These are fun and unexpected ways to use Tines.
#5 Any other business
Beyond security, how is your business applying Tines to automate workflows?
Get inspired with last year’s winner: Niall
Our overall winner from a previous YDWWT competition, Niall from Informatica, blew everyone away with his story, ‘Get me outta here!’. Niall’s story uses the Ryanair API to find cheap flights from your location. It also considers the ever-changing reality of Covid-19 by avoiding high-risk countries and areas with mandatory quarantine periods.
Watch Niall give an overview of the winning story:
What will you build?
Now that you’ve seen the landscape, what will you build or share?
We can’t wait to see and share your creativity. You can keep an eye on the competition in our story library, where we’ll be uploading YDWWT entries. Winners will be announced here on our website by June 20th, 2023.
