A little inspiration goes a long way when it comes to deciding which processes to automate next, whether they’re for saving time or human power.

We recently held the inaugural ‘You did What with Tines’ (YDWWT) customer contest to help get our community's creative juices flowing.

To demonstrate the flexibility and power of Tines, we challenged our customers to build the most unexpected or zany automation Stories that they could come up with. Entries could be something taken from an actual production workflow in their organization or something they made for fun on the side. It could have serious utility, or it could be utterly trivial.

It gives us great pleasure to be able to share the winning entry. Kudos to Niall from Informatica for impressing everyone with his Story, ‘Get me outta here!’ It uses the Ryanair API to find cheap flights from wherever you are, now that travel has slowly started to rebound. It also considers the rapidly changing reality of Covid-19, avoiding high-risk countries and areas with mandatory quarantine periods.

Check out this video for a detailed overview:

Well done, Niall, and thank you to everyone else who entered! Keep your eyes peeled for the next edition of the contest, coming soon.

If you’re looking for more inspiration, check out some of our most common use cases or a few of the best entries from our internal version of YDWWT.
